The 2010 ALA/AASL Standards for the National Recognition of programs preparing school librarians are applicable to program reports submitted for initial review through fall 2021.

The new ALA/AASL Standards were adopted in 2019. Programs can use either the 2010 or 2019 Standards to write their Initial Review Reports through Fall 2021. Beginning in spring 2022 programs submitting Initial Reports must use the 2019 Standards.
